The private university had consistently invested in campus improvements, adding several modern classrooms, science, cultural, and student housing buildings. However, they recognized the need for a center to function as both a campus hub for students and business hub for the community. Following a significant naming donation and fundraising campaign, design plans and construction moved forward on the new community engagement center.The project is an important phase in the university’s expansion to the north campus. Situated north of Westside Drive, it connects student housing to the north and academics to the south. Its siting and circulation strengthen the campus fabric, reinforces pathways, encourages future development, and provides access for the greater community.
